The tour of the Pula Arena includes:
- Main Entrance – The tour starts at the main entrance where participants will learn about the history and significance of this impressive Roman amphitheater.
- Gladiator and Animal Holding Areas – We’ll visit the areas where gladiators prepared for combat and where animals were kept before the spectacles. These spaces give insight into the intense battles and events that took place here.
- Seating and Stands – Explore the seating areas where thousands of spectators once gathered to watch the events. You’ll get a closer look at the well-preserved tiers of the amphitheater.
- Underground Chambers – We’ll visit the underground chambers, once used for storing animals, equipment, and even for the gladiators to wait before their fights. It’s a fascinating glimpse into how the arena functioned during Roman times.
- Arena Stage Area – We’ll walk through the main performance area where gladiatorial contests and other public spectacles were held, learning about how the arena was used for different types of events.
